FROST RISK IN MAY/JUNE
The impact of freezing in our business is minimal, as it is located at a high altitude. Thermal changes cause more significant damage in valley areas and flatlands, where the cold atmosphere, being dense, falls and lifts the warm air. We are located at 300 meters above sea level; therefore, to suffer negative effects from freezing, we would need to record rather low temperatures (-7°/-8°). If there were a threat of frost, we would use the tactic of burning hay bales along the edges of the most exposed vineyards, currently the Chardonnay, as it is the only one that has sprouted. If frost damage were to occur, we would intervene with products containing seaweed extracts, facilitating the recovery of plant tissue structure and reducing the negative impact sustained.
